We are diligently working to re-open!
See the link below to read FAQ's regarding the Governor's directive for Phase 2.
It's better than we expected, but not optimal for running things the way anyone thinks of The Copper Door. We have been busy remodeling and setting up the restaurant for the best possible experience, given the constraints of this crazy new world. What's in phase 3? The best we know so far is:
Phase 3 (At least 4-6 weeks after Phase 2)
- Lessen restrictions for vulnerable populations with encouragement to continue practicing physical distancing and minimizing exposure to settings where distancing isn’t possible.
- Allow increased capacity at restaurants, bars, other businesses, houses of worships, and entertainment venues.
- Further increase the number of people allowed at gatherings.
- Continue rigorous restrictions on nursing homes and other congregant care settings.
So, we figure that somewhere around the middle of July things will be as good as can be expected for the foreseeable future. It seems rather certain that Social Distancing will be with us for a long time. That means six feet of spacing, as you know. We are losing over half of our seating capacity. Still, we love what we do and are willing to adapt.
EVERYTHING has changed. But what we do not want to change is the wonderful experience The Copper Door provides. We are devising a new game plan that we feel will thrill you. We will abide by the rules for everyone's welfare and adapt as we are able. We will keep this page and our Facebook page updated with the latest information.
Keep checking for our opening date! Again, mid July seems about right. We can't wait to get back to work and celebrate with you the fine things that this life has to offer.
The Governor has decided to prolong Phase 2 for another 3 weeks and has made face masks mandatory. We are pushing our target date back to July 23 and hope that conditions allow for easing of restrictions by then.
We're located in beautiful downtown Hayesville. We'd love to host you and your friends for your next special occasion.Learn More
